Ah Glamour Photography.

I don’t do much glamour photography any more … I would like to say this was a moral decision but I am afraid it was not.

In fact it was a moral decision to not do glamour photography in the first place and then a glamour model I know encouraged me to do so for two reasons. The first was rather kind as she said she really wanted to work with me to get images as she felt comfortable with me to shoot and that I was easy to shoot with.

The second was shear financial incentive …. She said there was a lot of money in glamour.

I quickly found out that there is no longer any real money in glamour. There was back in the day but now not so much and so I stopped doing it as much.

Truth is though that some of the funniest stories come from the glamour shoots. It tends to be that the whole thing feels ridiculous and so it tends to have the funny stories attached. None more so than this one working with the fabulous Jade Hunt. One of the most professional and talented models I have been fortunate to work with.

The whole shoot came by accident as out planned location was unavailable to it was all hands o deck trying to find a location and we managed to get this wonderful place. The guys who worked there all suddenly became artists suggesting locations, arranging a long steel beam and creating sparks.

Unfortunately it was a short but productive shoot.

After half an hour the manager strolled up to us and asked nervously if we were going to be long as, and he looked nervously over his shoulder…

“No one is doing any work”

We packed our bags shortly after and left … But I think we got some amazing images and some really good laughs.
